Guarantee We guarantee that all seeds are correctly labelled and true to name. We also guarantee that seeds are collected in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner. All seeds unless otherwise stated are hand collected from home grown native plants. Mother plants were sourced from cultivated stock. Mother Plants All images on our website do not necessarily represent the mother plants. Mother plants were sourced from cultivated stock. Plant Descriptions The plant descriptions listed on our website including information on hardiness zones, soil types, soil moisture, lighting requirements, bloom time, height and spacing are rough guidelines. These descriptions will vary depending on the growing conditions, climate and other factors. It is important that you complete your own research into any seeds ordered and the requirements of the plants themselves. It’s also important to consider your outdoor space and if you can meet the needs of the plants. We recommend referring to your favourite gardening book and other resources for outdoor planting and care of your plants as it can guide you based on your specific geographic location.

Seed Germination Proper seed germination depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to planting depth, climate, soil type, soil bacteria and microbes, sun and shade exposure, pH, water and temperatures. We will not guarantee germination or replace any seeds that fail to germinate for you. There are too many variables to consider for sowing seeds to guarantee germination. The buyer/grower is responsible to plant seeds in the proper conditions. We will provide instructions for germination, but we cannot guarantee results. We cannot guarantee successful growth after planting, but please let us know about any disappointments you experience; we may be able to help.
While just about any seed can germinate with experience, some of our seeds are not for beginners or someone new to the hobby. Please take into consideration your experience. It is up to you to break the dormancy of any seeds ordered. All seeds come with specific germination instructions to help you successfully germinate them. All seeds are carefully selected prior to shipping. As many of our seeds are native to Ontario and other parts of North America please note that cold, moist stratification is necessary to germinate the seeds.
